Unlimited Advantages

The journal GLOBAL MINDS examines international appointments in Germany from a strategic perspective and shows how they can succeed. With examples, insights, and analyses, the journal is aimed at anyone interested in advancing the discourse on international academic mobility. The first issue kicks off the discussion.

In the interview, university researcher Simon Marginson discusses the changing global landscape of academic excellence and its consequences. Journalist Andrew Curry has analyzed the strategies that have made Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Australia successful in international appointments. The University of Mannheim reveals how it was able to attract a young top researcher, and U.S. science historian Myles J. Jackson explains why Germany should view the upheavals in the U.S. science system as an opportunity.

Translations of the German texts will follow shortly.
