We are seeking a full-time, two-year fixed-term Trainee Program Manager (m/f/d) for our Pro­fes­sor­ship Funding Pro­grams di­vi­si­on, to start as soon as pos­si­ble.

Founded in 2023, Wübben Stif­tung Wis­sen­schaft is a private grant-making foun­da­ti­on based in Berlin. Its mission is to help streng­t­hen Germany’s po­si­ti­on as a center of ex­cel­lence for science and re­se­arch that is in­ter­na­tio­nal­ly visible and com­pe­ti­ti­ve. The Foun­da­ti­on sees itself as a stra­te­gic partner to German uni­ver­si­ties and sup­ports them in iden­ti­fy­ing, re­crui­t­ing, and in­te­gra­ting in­ter­na­tio­nal re­se­ar­chers.

As a trainee program manager, you will gain com­pre­hen­si­ve insight into the design, im­ple­men­ta­ti­on, and further de­ve­lop­ment of our grant pro­grams. You will work closely with ex­pe­ri­en­ced program ma­na­gers and gra­dual­ly take on more re­spon­si­bi­li­ty.

Your Re­spon­si­bi­li­ties:

  • Pro­vi­ding support and ad­mi­nis­tra­ti­ve as­si­s­tan­ce for stra­te­gic and ope­ra­tio­nal grant-making ac­tivi­ties
  • Plan­ning, con­duc­ting, and fol­lo­wing up on in­for­ma­tio­nal events, con­sul­ta­ti­ons, round­ta­ble dis­cus­sions, and work­shops
  • As­sis­ting with the­ma­tic re­se­arch
  • Pre­pa­ring ana­ly­ses, reports, and pre­sen­ta­ti­ons
  • Con­tri­bu­ting to com­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons re­gar­ding grant pro­grams and fellows (par­ti­cu­lar­ly on social media)

Your Profile:

  • A strong uni­ver­si­ty degree (Master’s) with an in­ternship or study abroad ex­pe­ri­ence
  • In­te­rest in re­se­arch funding and science ma­nage­ment
  • Ex­cel­lent written and verbal com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills in German and English
  • Very good MS365 skills, con­fi­dent use of Excel and data ma­nage­ment tools
  • Ana­ly­ti­cal thin­king and a struc­tu­red ap­proach to work
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Pre­fer­red: Initial prac­ti­cal ex­pe­ri­ence in project ma­nage­ment
  • Pre­fer­red: Ex­pe­ri­ence in quan­ti­ta­ti­ve data ana­ly­sis
